How can i gain experience in networking?Volunteer?

hey guys, i have a diploma in high frequency technology and im planning on pursuing my CCNA next year 2010.

I want to get experience in networking but no one hires if you dont have experience. How do you set about getting it? Can you volunteer for network support somewhere and use that as experience? If yes, how do get the volunteer job?

I am studying Packet Tracer with tutorials and Boson Netsim with labs everyday, and also the CCNA material. I studied how to subnet and have good knowledge of digital systems, binary and hex etc. So im not THAT inexperienced, theoretically.

Anybody that can give me some pointers? I googled alot of entry level jobs etc but even they require experience.
