How can I silence the mute button on SPA509G phones?

We have the Cisco IP Phones: SPA509G. The problem we are experiencing is that when someone pushed the “mute button” it beeps once. The person on the other side of the call is then aware that they have been put on mute. Is there a way to “mute” the mute button?
