how dhcp server knows what ip address range to assign wireless client

how dhcp server knows what ip address to assign wireless client since there is no interface to represent the subnet that SSID belongs to in autonomous AP? in autonomous AP, only layer2 is knowed. how dhcp server to distinguish the ip address range to assign to different SSID.
