How Do I Set Up A DNS Server?

I was wondering how to set up a DNS server. I currently own a business for repairs and custom built computers. I do web design and web hosting. I am now getting into trying to set up my own DNS server , but I am starting to see that this seperatesthe men from the boys. I currently own 2 Pc’s running XP Pro and a 2000 Pro machine connected via the Linksys 4 port router.
