How do you correct/get rid of, a carriage jam error on an HP 2710 all in 1

the printer’s ink shuttle always stops in the middle of the carriage. We have cleaned it and manually moved it full range of motion. There isn’t a jam we can feel. However, the error messege keeps returning and prevents printing.

Any help would be apreciated.
