How do you fix a master boot record?

I am getting the STOP: 0x0000007B Inaccessible Boot Device error when starting my PC. I need to retrieve the data from the drive.

According to the Microsoft web page it could be a boot sector virus. Any best ideas on how to clean this and save the drive?
