I?ve been working for a company for 3 years now. They want me to take over the Network Admin function when our current one leaves. There is also talk of me going salary. I would like to know how much I should accept for the position.
I will be graduating in 2002 for a Comp. Science degree, I?m going to take a C.N.A. test this year. I don?t see a problem with passing, I?m doing the job now to learn, so there is no disruption when the time comes.
What?s the going rate for a NW Admin for about 200 users ? I will also have responsibilities for the phone system for 2 offices. Also I will continue to work with a few AS/400s, and still be part of the Help Desk for Software and Hardware support.
I check some Gov. job boards and the list a salary range of 25-75k. This is too far apart to be any use, how can I narrow it down. Any other websites to check? I looked at Monster.com but it is also hard to find a position with a salary listing, I don?t really want to LOOK for a job.
