How to add a XPpro WS to an NT4 Netw.?

I have the task to add a new XP pro machine as Workstation, to an older NT4 – Ethernet LAN. The existing Network is running with NT4 Workstations and NT4 Server. Will it work? are there important steps to look at? anyone with experience?
