How to best share music over a large network without PC’s

I am looking for a solution to set up 20 to 25 music listening stations across our hospital campus as relaxation rooms. I had 20 D Link DSM players and found them to be very unreliable and frail. What would be the best combination of equipment software and peripherals. I need something easy to navigate but very secure (not wireless)I am desperate for advice.
