How to change default image file format in LG G6 camera?

Whenever I send photos from my LG G6 to my computer (or anyone else’s) they won’t open because the file format is wrong. Changing them from .jpg to .png makes them open fine. Is there a way to change the default file format in the LG G6 camera?
