how to clear address bar

In Internet Explorer, I know that the Address Bar can be cleared by choosing Options/Clear History. However, there is mysteriously an address from a raunchy site that been in my address bar for about a year and will never clear. Currently, I am the only user of the computer; so I know that that site is not being visited–not even by accident.

Can someone tell me how to purge this site from my address bar?
