i would be grateful for any help or advice.
i am trying to configure a router (Linksys WRT54GR) to connect to an existing wireless network at home. i want to do this to extend range / improve signal in a remote area.
Have looked at the manuals, googled for days and am now thoroughly confused with IP addresses, DHCP on/off, static IP addresses and the like.
As you can tell – i’m no expert – but am now familiar with the set-up screens (unfortunately).
I have set up with the same SSID, different channels – and i can see the “slave” wireless router, but cant connect to the internet.
Somehow, i need to make sure the 2 routers are “connected” to each other (wirelessly) – and this is the bit i am having trouble withany help much appreciated.
