How to configure routing DSL/dial-up IP

by miraclemax . Updated 23 years, 3 months ago

I have a DSL connection that I use for web browsing, email and connection to several remote computers. I also have to connect to several remote computers using dial-up IP. My question is this; How do I configure the connections for DSL to always use DSL connection? How do I configure my dial-up connections to only use the dial-up and not try to connect via my DSL connection?
I have noticed when I’m connected to a remote client via dial-up IP that my email client, Outlook 2000 uses the dial-up connection to retrieve my email. I would like my web browser and email to use the DSL connection only.

My hardware config is as follows:
1. Cisco 675 DSL router
2. Dell PC with 10/100 ethernet connection, Win98, IE 6.0, Outlook 2000

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I have looked at putting entries in the NETWORKS table but not sure if that would solve my problem.
