how to connect Netware5 server by modem

Iam Having Netware5 Server.
One of the service workshop too long distance from netware5 server. so that I configure the modem in server.

From connectivity of workstation to server Connection is established but workstation cant access the logon screen.
after 2 to 3 mins in the server modem connection cleared
