How to create a menu for movies on my external drive

Hi,

We plug our external hard drive directly into the dvd player (usb) and access the movies using the dvd remote and the standard dvd player menu.
But this shows the entire directory of the hard drive. And we have to select folder by folder and then scroll thru to the wanted movie…!!!!
What utiltity can I use to create a menu on my hard drive… so that the dvd player ‘runs’ this menu (that looks smarts and is set out neatly)… so that we can then scroll thru this menu and select the movie we want to play.
Please HELP!!
