How to keep network resources active?

I am currently running into difficulties keeping my network connections active all the time. However it is happening, whether it be timing out or whatnot, I can’t seem to find the command/service/option to keep the network resources active at all times. This is a big problem primarily due to printers becoming “unavailable” becoming impossible to use for the machines that haven’t printed from them for a while.

Any Ideas? Anything you have will be helpful I’m sure. Thanks.
