how to reach rommon in cisco router

hi..

can anyone help me access a cisco router without using username/password?

a cisco router 3600 was given to me but i can’t access it because no username/password were given to me.

using hyperterminal and serial console, i tried password recovery through rommon, but i can’t reach rommon.i tried resetting the router & press ctrl+brk as it starts, but no response. it goes to username/password automatically.

is there any other way to recover lost username/password without passing rommon?

or

is there any other way to reach rommon aside from resetting the router and pressing ctrl+brk?
