How to set up a home network.

by mommeeof10 . Updated 16 years, 11 months ago

We have several pc’s, including 2 servers, one running MS server 2000 and one running Microsoft Server 2003. They can all see and access shared files on each other and access the internet, connected with a wireless router and a dsl modem. I would like to set up the 2003 server to control the other pc’s use and account permissions, etc. How do I do this? I need a “dummies” instruction manual. If there are schematics of the connections, parts needed, etc, that would be great. What services do I need to enable on the server? The other pc’s are running windows 98, windows 2000 professional, XP and Vista.
