How to Setup an FTP server using XP only

Hi All,

This has been driving me a little crazy….

I am trying to setup a simple FTP server using XP so that I can access and upload my files from anywhere. I have IIS running with my default FTP site created.

Since I am behind a router (Linksys) I have port forwarding turned on (21)and an IP address of 192.XXX.X.XXX.

I noticed that people are using SERV-U or filezilla. When I tried these options, it will not recognize the FTP Server.

Is there “FTP for DUmmies” book somewhere or even a tech doc that shows the setup steps. I thought I was tech savy but this has put me in my place.

Any help would be appreciated.
