how to use a syslog server?

i have installed a kiwi syslog server v 9.0 on a big network (around 900 cisco devices) but it is my first time to use it so i don`t even know how to configure those devices to send their logging on my server and also i don`t know if the server is well configured or how i can make it run properly.
in brief what command do i put on the cisco device?
and what command do i use on the server to allow it to communicate with those devices?
