HP 1320 Issue

I have an HP 1320 LaserJet that I have connected to my local computer that operates with Windows XP Home. I work on a server through a Remote Desktop Connection and when I go to print, the correct printer is selected but it is greyed out and says that it is idle. When I look at the print queue, it shows that all my jobs have been sent to the print but do not have a status. All my connections are good, but I cannot print anything even if I use control prompt. When I try adding the hardware I get a message saying that the configuration registry key is invalid. So, I cleared the cache files and replaced the SP2 files. But, it still won’t print–any ideas?
