HP 4200n false paper jam in tray 2 or 3, How can I "fake" out the sensors?

I replaced the fuser and did a full maintenance kit, I was getting the paper jam error 13.01.00 on all trays except for the manual tray, (tray 1).
I can print the menu map from tray 2 and it completes fine, but if I try to print the same job again, the paper never attempts to pick up the paper in tray two again. I can open the top and close it and it will resume printing. How can I “fake out” the paper sinsor? There is no paper jammed in this printer. I can even feed card through with no problem the first time.
