HP 870Cxi printer won’t shut off

Just installed the printer,and it turns on and sets the cartridges in the center as it is supposed to do. The problem is I can’t print anything,not even the test pages. The Resume button flashes all the time and the power button stays lit. Thepower button will not turn off the printer and I hear the microswitch clicking. I also took off the cover, and the switch seems OK. I checked the cover switch and the paper feed switch. Any ideas?
