HP Network Scanjet 5 Scanner

I am changing the nic card from Token Ring to Ethernet. After I put the new card in and power up the scanner I get the error msg ‘141 Network error’ Network Int Error (0002) NW Scanjet 5 halted. I am not changing the IP address. I did try changing the IP address but got the same results. I did notice the configuration settings still have the Token Ring mac address and I can’t find out how to chane that or what to do to make the scanner take it from the Ethernet card.
