HP Pavilion DV6000 issues

Hi,

Great site, keep up the good work guys! Yea, so I’ve got this really cool HP laptop which I use for pretty much everything (from bank stuff to music to university work to movies). I’d be pretty stuck/lost without it.

Anyways, I’ve been having some issues with it lately, I think I remember putting it to sleep this evening and when I got back, the screen wouldn’t work. I mean, I could tell it was working but the screen looked like it was “Off” (just black, not “On”).

It’s working now though, 2 shutdowns and 1 un-hibernate later.

My Question is: How do I stop this from happening again? And also, How do I stop the blue screen of death from appearing again?
