HP Pavilion dv6125om Wireless device disappears

I have a hp pavilion dv6125om notebook. I bought it around winter 2006. One day I start it up and it can’t find my wireless device. Everything is installed I even tried reinstalling the software, I even loaded factory defualt settings. Nothing. It doesn’t show up in the device manager. One day when I turned it on from hibernate It came back but when I put it to sleep and woke it back up it went away again. I tried to call HP but they said that my warranty expired Nov. 07. So does anybody know how to fix this issue?
