I am creating a VPN

I having been wanting to create a VPN with 2 networks. I don’t know anything about VPN other than it mean Virtual Private Network. I only need the VPN to work when I am out of town and staying at a hotel (no router). But still let me use my wireless connection when I am at home.

*I want to know if this is possible
*If so, how to do it
