I cannot open system properties in windows xp

hello
i cannot open system properties by right clicking on My Computer but i can open it through control panel i also cannot open display properties by right clicking on desktop i also cannot open norton antivirus and its icon is not displayed in System Tray
i also cannot open registry editor through START>RUN>regedit
pleas help me how to solve the problem
