I can’t fresh install windows XP “setup cannot find a CD drive” error

I am trying to reinstall windows XP on my computer since I had to trash my Hard drive from a bad virus. When I use the 6 disks to start the install it goes through the whole process when it gets to the end it says to start installation press ENTER. So I hit enter and then get the “setup cannot find a CD drive” error message. For a little more background when I boot up my computer it says finding IDE drives or something like that and then it is listed there, but when I open BIOS I dont see anywhere to find my CD Rom drive. Can someone please help?
