…so this may have occurred at any time in the past four days: although most of my notebook’s screen shows what it is supposed to, there exists a vertical rectangular block of color (mostly gray; a few lines are blue, green, white, etc.) that rears it heads no matter what I do or run, making that portion of the screen impossible to see. So here is my question: Is it possible to remove this block from my screen? If so, can you please provide aid (or at least direct me to a trusted site where help can be found)? If not, can you please provide any other advice (or at least a location where such advice may be obtained that may solve the dilemma?
I am simultaneously searching elsewhere for a solution and may not be able to respond until the next day. Please keep in mind that I am only half a step (most pessimistic viewpoint) above the general population as far as computer literacy is concerned.
