I possess a BSc. Physics degree & have Computer Hardware Diploma, but experienced greater part of my career in the installation & maintenance of WAN networks including telecom infrastructure (Voice). But due to IT bubble burst, lost my job (company went bankrupt) & turned out in a IT Helpdesk (call center) as a Phone agent with half the salary. There are very few jobs available in the market curently which are just appropriate to my preference & qualification. This is because of high availability of able, certified & qualified persons in the market. In this scenario, I want to get certain certifications which will help me to get a good and decent job. I did some research on CCNA & MBA & found that there are still persons roaming around the streets looking for jobs (of their choice) with resumes in their hands with those degrees & certifications. Thus I am totally confused & demoralised about the way of upgrading my career path. Any advice or suggestions please ? Just FYI, my experience is in configuring routers, switches, service management, maintaining & installation of Network equipments. Help please….
