I want to crash the windows 2003 server – Roles are DC and DNS

Hi,
I want to format the windows 2003 and install the windows 2003 server. The server roles are Domain controller and DNS server (Single Domain).
What are the steps I need to follow the same domain, DNS up and running after the new server installation?

I have one idea
Is it correct?
Install Additional DC and transfer all FSMO roles to Additional dc, create secondary DNS.
Then what to do?………..
