IAS Service “hangs” and stops authenticating in Server 2003

Hi All,

Has anyone ever had any experience with the IAS service hanging in Server 2003?

We recently deployed a WLAN using PKI, and most of the time it works very well.

Occasionally the IAS service is listed as Started, but it isn’t authenticating and users can’t access the WLAN.

There’s no relevant information in Event Viewer.

Does anyone have any idea what’s going on?

I was going to setup a redundant IAS server, but because the service is still running on the first server I don’t think it will fail over properly. Any thoughts?
