ibm 300GL

Hello i have read up on the ibm problems and my question is i have it set up to load from cd. which it does but the keybord dosent work when i try to linux or windows on it the key bord dont work but when i am not trying to put stuff on the computer the keybord works any idea what to check? thanks for you time
