IDE CABLES

I changed out a slot 1 ASUS motherboard on my computer. The replacement from EPoX a P2-133A has different IDE connections on the motherboard. The ASUS had a pin missing from one of the rows in each of the primary and secondary channel connections. The ribbon cable has a blank place to line up with the missing pin. The EPoX board has all the pins so the cable will not connect. There was one new cable in the motherboard box and it too had a blank space where one pin should fit. Any suggestions or is there a specific cable I should be looking for? Thanks.
