IE 5.0 and PDFs

We are having problems opening PDF’s from our Internet site using IE 5.0. The same PDF’s open with IE 4.x and Netscape 4.x, but with IE 5.x, adobe starts to lauch, fails, and then we get a blank screen. Anyone know how to overcome this problem?Thanks,
