IE 5.5 & MSN

I’m running on a laptop with w2k, I installed IE 5.5 to work with our DSL and it worked fine, then I installed MSN to work remotely on our VPN. Now when I open IE 5.5 I get the MSN logon screen and it tries to dial out to the Internet instead of going thru the DSL connection. Is there any way to sperate the two, so the the IE icon works with the DSL on the LAN and the MSN icon works with the modem remotely?
