IE quit working

I am using IE as my primary browser, O/S is XP Pro.
IE has quit working for only one user – additional users can sign on and it opens and works ok. Have kept up with virus scan and IE updates. Tried pulling over shortcut to IE from other users without any success. Will not work if I am signed on. I am logged as an administrator – as well as the other user. Any suggestions on how to salvage without losing all!
