ie won’t display ftp directories

I have g6ftp 2.15 running on a server 2003 r2 sp2 box. IE won’t list directories, but Firefox will. “Enable folder view for FTP sites” is enabled, and windows fire wall is disabled. I can log in no problem with Firefox but when I try with IE I get

“FTP Folder Error

An error occurred opening that folder on the FTP server. Make sure you have permission to access that folder.

Details:
An internal error occurred in the Microsoft Internet Extensions.”

The g6 logs seem to show that everything is working fine. theres no difference between the logins with Firefox, or the logins with IE.
