ie6 kernel32.dll invalid page fault

I have a problemm with IE6 SP1. When I double click the Internet Explorer icon on my desktop I get this kernel32.dll invalid page fault. Also when I click on Internet Explorer on my start menu I get the same thing. I use window explore to navigate on the C drive where I see another IE icon Internet Explorer runs fine. I have uninstalled IE6 and re-installed it and it still does the same thing. Any thoughts.
