IEAK5_5 question re uninstall

I recently downloaded and have been playing with IEAK5_5 so that I can develop an “in house” browser. I created an install that prevents the user from making changes to the “Connections” tab so that no-one messes with the proxy settings (among otherthings). It worked fine. My problem is that when I uninstalled my customized version of IE and restored the previous version, the Connections tab is still not editable. I am sure that there is a registry entry somewhere that I can modify, but I can’t find it. Has anyone out there seen this before? How do I access that connections tab again?
