On the back cover of the July 2000 volume 2 number 6 issue of the Windows NT Administrator Report there is an article which just about describes my exact problem.
(recap)
I have a closed NT domain 1PDC 2BDC’s about 75 NT workstations. My boss is in an office up north with a similar setup. We both use DHCP and are running WINS. One day he comes down and says that he is going to setup a trust. He sets up a one-way trust and leaves a server connected to our domain which has their SAMS database on it. Shortly after this, we started randomly receiving the error msg., “No domain controller could be located for the domain”.
According to the article Mr. Posey states that he just let the WINS servers exchange information. My question is how do you do this?
