Installation problems using CPAN

by kmalland . Updated 25 years, 1 month ago

I have been trying to update Perl bundles using CPAN and have been unable to do so. I’m using version 1.59 (manually built) and each time I try running “install Bundle::whatever” from the CPAN prompt, it downloads the bundle and then fails on CHECKSUM. I have tried multiple sites and have had no luck. This happens with ALL installs. The error message indicates that the checksum is invalid and leaves a 0 byte .tar file in the cache download directory (along with the .gz file which when manually unzipped creates a valid .tar file that I use to manually install). Any suggestions would be helpful.
