installing a scsi adapter

I have a scsi hard disk and card adapter and I want to install it in a ASUS CUSL2 mother board, using the SCSI H.D. as the primary master disk the CPU can not detect the SCSI adapter using any of the 6 PCI slot. Does anyone know how I can configure the PCI configuration so that any of the PCI slot can detect the SCSI adapter so that the computer will boot using the OS from my SCSI H.D.
