Installing unsigned nic driver in w2k

I have a dfe-530tx+ dlink network adapter. I have tried to install the driver in w2k. It keeps telling that the error installing driver data invalid. I have changed the driver privilege to ignore in driver signing, but still it will not install. It works well in win98.
