I believe I have a problem with either Internet Information Server 6 or Internet Explorer 7 or maybe a combination of both.
This applies to my mobile users. When in the office on the local network the webpage they are going to works fine . But when outside of the office the webpage will not load unless it is added to the trusted sites list.
Items to know : SSL certificate is good (hasn?t expired). I do have another server running SharePoint Portal Server and it works fine inside or outside of the net and also has SSL cert.
Integrated authentication has been enabled on both servers and anonymous access has been disabled.
The laptops do belong to the domain and the users log in as themselves at all times inside/outside.
The only real problem with this is that, if the server is added to the trusted sites list, the user must log onto this server even when on the local network; so why bother with integrated logon authentication.
I would like to provide them the same user functionality that they have with the Sharepoint server.
Any suggestions on how to make this happen?
