intel d101ggc motherboard-support win98?

I have bought Intel d101ggc motherboad with intel pIV 2.66 GHz cpu,one samsung sata HDD,One samsung combo drive, two 128 MB DDR.My question is does this motherboard supports win98 ,because while installing win98 machine is getting hanged when searching for pnp devices.In winxp pro there is no problem?
