Interfacing external PS2 Keyboard with a USB port on a Dell Latitude D610

Hi All,

I am trying to connect a dell PS2 keyboard to my dell laptop via a usb port. Bought a PS2/USB connector, however windows xp does not recognise the device.

Any way out of this (aside from a docking station)?
