Internet

I am connecting through a router which is in another room. In this room I’m using a desktop and a laptop which are next to each other. I been able to connect to the internet on both for the past year, but suddenly I lost the internet on the desktop. The connection is 54Mbps, but cannot browse the internet. The laptop is fine and of course the pc with the router. What could have happened?
