Internet Authentication without Proxy Server

Hello,
I just want to inquire how to configure Internet Authentication without setting up the proxy settings.

I have visited one company where they use DHCP then without any configuration on my laptop it prompt with a username and password.

Can somebody share information on how to setup this.
